About the event

Greg Thoren has stepped into the world of virtual fencing and is sharing his new adventure at a pasture walk sponsored by the Illinois Grazing Land Coalition.

 

Lunch will be provided from 12:15 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a demonstration of his cattle wearing solar panel collars for adaptive managed grazing without physical fencing. This will be followed by a demonstration of cattle grazing on cover crops planted within 60" corn rows.

 

Extension Educator Jay Solomon will present on watering systems for adaptive managed grazing.

Veterinarian Bob Melcher will present on parasite management benefits of managed grazing.
